(part 2)

We did do things other than open gifts, of course... a LOT of things. Try to keep up...

There was playing in the snow (real snow this time)...

... which, for the most part, consisted of Daddy and Grandpa throwing snowballs at me - I mean, does that seem fair to you?

But I got them back by throwing snow at them... although it might have ended up in my face in the end anyway:

We also went and saw some pretty spectacular lights at a farm:

It was way passed my bedtime, but I wouldn't have missed it! I kept warm in my jammies by the fire with mommy:

I skipped a nap and went to the conservatory where there was lots of running around to do, ooh-ing and ah-ing at a waterfall, beautiful plants, and a train!

I got kinda grumpy towards the end of our visit...

... but Daddy cheered me up right away:

I also hung out with some fellow superheroes...

... and taught them how to fly:

We did spend a lot of time at home, too, where there was lots of playing with the cat:

Listening to music:

More playing with toys:

Being sassy:

Dinner with Uncle Garrett and Ellen:

Drinking of milk naked:

And eating, eating and more eating:

A few times, I was out on the town, and I have to admit... I got into a little trouble:

I can't even say she started it...

(I miss you, Gracie!!!!)

But in my defense, I'd like to say that my new Kissing Elmo toy taught me all my tricks...

(two of my favorite pass-times: kissing and peekaboo)

It was the most wonderful time of the year... (part 1)

You guys have no idea how awesome Christmas is... or do you? I mean, what's not to love? When you're one, it's all about stimulation, so lights were my personal favorite. Everywhere I went, there were flashing lights and usually music, too! And then there are the treats and presents and cozy fires and... it's so amazing! I was kinda overloaded on awesomeness this year - maybe that happens when you're little and everything is new?

This year, we visited Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Laura and Uncle Gary in Ohio. Wish I could tell you in detail about all the fun we had! Instead, an overview of some of the finest moments...

It took me a while to figure it out, but I had a lot of practice and finally got the hang of opening gifts this Christmas season:

Again, some favorites: a toy plane that makes noise and has flashing lights...

Elmo!

A cape, handcrafted by a dear friend (thank you, Kim!!) so I can be a superhero along with my buddies...

Tools so I can help Daddy with projects:

And much, much more... I'm pretty spoiled. Maybe I shouldn't show off how much my relatives, friends and parents have spoiled me - you might be jealous...

But I do want to make sure I communicate that while I love to play with ALL my new toys...

... sometimes the most fun is playing in the boxes they came in...

Where've we been?

Ok, so maybe a little time has elapsed since we last updated you on "Things to do with Cash". What happened? Well, one of us has been busy exploring Christmas from a toddler's perspective which included a trip to the mall where he played in the "snow" for over an hour:

And then there was the Parade of Lights with mommy's cousin, Annie, where bundling up was an absolute necessity and saying "wooooooooooow" eleventeen times a minute was apparently also absolutely necessary:

This little elf was very eager to help his mom clean up the house for a holiday meal with small group:

... and even got to the tough spots:

And then, before leaving for Ohio to visit Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas, we had to space out opening some Christmas gifts that had arrived a little early. So we practiced gift opening and there was much joy and excitement:

Sometimes, it was hard to choose which one to play with first:

Thank you all for the wonderful gifts!!!

(Needless to say, the birth of Christ wasn't foremost on this little man's mind this Christmas...)

Have I told you lately...

... how strong I am?

At this rate, I figure by the time I'm 50, I'll be able to spin the globe on my index finger.

In my sleep.

I love phones. So much.

I could play with them all day long - morning til night.

But I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to... and sometimes I get caught...

So my rule of thumb is to turn on the cuteness so I don't get in trouble...

It pretty much works every time.

(I'm fairly certain that I could get away with calling China and not get in trouble with this trick of mine)

After Thanksgiving...

... comes Christmas, apparently. I'm not entirely sure what that means, except that some people are in the habit of bringing trees into their homes. Weird, if you ask me. But I went with it.

Uncle Garrett was visiting, and I showed him how to find the best place to get a tree using his i-phone:

Then I helped him bring it in the house (again, what's up with living trees in the house??)...

... and told Daddy just where to set it up.

They were very accommodating and did everything I asked. I even got Uncle Garrett's girlfriend, Ellen, to feed me cookies.

I have a feeling I could get into this whole Christmas thing...

What's Thanksgiving....

... without a Pilgrim and Indian party?

That's right. My parents dressed me up for a Thanksgiving brunch at Joe and Keri's. Unbelievably, there are outfits in the world that are too large for me... but I was made to wear this one anyway.

Even though the hat was the only part that actually fit, the best part was throwing it on the ground over and over again... and having unsuspecting guests pick it up for me. Hilarious. You should try it sometime.
